About the video: KXMB CBS Bismarck North D wrote: The sound of guitars, banjos, and mandolins filled the North Dakota Heritage Center today in Bismarck. Area musicians came together for The Heritage of Acoustic Music Festival. Workshops and jam sessions led by professional musicians were held throughout the day. People of all ages took part in different classes including swing jazz, open tuning, and mandolin lessons. (Nate Speidel/Local Band Member) I just came to learn another genre of music and open up my arsenal of cords and learn a different style and meet some good people and have fun. (Cindy Entze/Church Band Member) We heard Les Vaagen playing. He was a very good player and we thought we'd learn from him. There were also vintage and collectible instruments on display for the participants to look at as well as play. (Marilyn Snyder/SHSND Curator of education) Some extremely rare instruments. One for example has a value of $65,000 on it and you would rarely ever see it. This is the fourth year the event has been held to celebrate acoustic music.
